Marble Beach lies in a sheltered bay about 16 kilometers south of Trincomalee Town, tucked inside the harbor's protective geography. The shelter is the point: the water here is unusually calm, clear and shallow, which is why the beach fills with local families on weekends and why it is the standard recommendation for travelers with young children.

The Air Force management keeps the beach clean and orderly, with a modest entry arrangement and facilities that are simple but maintained. It feels different from the open coast at Nilaveli: more of a swimming bay than a walking beach.

The only accommodation at the beach itself is the Air Force-run resort. It exists, it is real, and it books out; but it is one property, not an area with choices. From town, Marble Beach is 25 to 35 minutes by tuk-tuk or taxi around the harbor. Mornings on weekdays are quietest; weekends bring local crowds, which is its own kind of atmosphere. Combine it with Kanniya hot springs on the way back for a comfortable half day.
