Expect to take most meals where you sleep, because alternatives are a drive away. This is Trincomalee's honeymoon and special-occasion coast. It is not a base for exploring: town is close to an hour away, and even Nilaveli's Pigeon Island boats are a 20 to 30 minute drive south.
